• How mass works in an Atom

Core idea (1–2 lines)

• The Average Atomic mass is the average mass an Element has in the periodic table

Must-know facts / rules / Equations

• Atomic Mass Units = $amu$
  • $u=1.660540\ast 10^{-27}kg$
  • $Proton=1u$
  • $Neutron=1u$
• The AMU is actually just the average mass the Element has, some elements have a bit more or a bit less for reasons unknown.
