01 - Team Agreement Draft
Our team agrees to meet once a week at 1:00 pm on our chosen day, depending on everyone’s availability. These meetings will be used to review progress, allocate tasks, discuss any problems, and make sure the team stays on track with project deadlines. Team members are expected to attend on time, come prepared with updates on their assigned work, and contribute to discussions in a productive way. If a member is unable to attend, they should let the team know in advance and provide an update through Teams or the group chat. While meetings will mainly focus on completing project work efficiently, we also want to maintain a positive and friendly atmosphere so that the team can work well together and enjoy the process.
Our team agrees to hold one formal meeting each week, preferably on Thursdays at 1:00 pm, either on campus at an agreed location or online through Microsoft Teams if meeting in person is not possible. These meetings will help us check our progress, talk through any problems, and organise what needs to be done next. Team members are expected to make a reasonable effort to attend and come with an idea of what they have completed or what they need help with..
If a member cannot attend, they must notify the team as early as possible and provide an update on their progress through Teams. While meetings should remain focused and productive, we also want to maintain a friendly and supportive team environment = we want to balance work and fun by focusing on the meeting tasks first, then leaving time at the end for casual conversation, checking in with each other, or celebrating progress so the team stays both productive and comfortable working together.
We expect everyone to contribute fairly, complete their work to a good standard, and stay on track so the team can meet each assessment deadline. Work should be shared as evenly as possible, while also considering each person’s strengths and availability. Team members should try to finish their parts early enough for the rest of the group to review them and give feedback before submission. We can also ask the tutor for help if needed. If someone does not follow through on their commitment, the team will first remind them and offer support, but if the work is still not done, the task may need to be shared among the group so the project is completed on time.
Because our group has only met once so far, we have not yet created a Gantt chart or assigned a project manager. To resolve this, our next step will be to meet again and discuss how to organise the project more clearly. We will also discuss whether one person should take on the role of project manager or whether leadership should be shared across the group depending on each person’s strengths. This will help improve organisation, communication, and accountability as we move forward. We will review these decisions early so the group can work more effectively and avoid confusion later in the project.
One really big challenge is that the group is still in the early stages and does not yet have a clear structure. To overcome this, I will communicate regularly with my team, check shared documents or messages often, and ask questions if responsibilities are unclear.
Another challenge may be balancing group work with other subjects, so I will use a planner and set smaller personal deadlines to stay on track. The main resources and support I need are clear communication with my group members and guidance from the tutor if needed. I will access these by staying involved in group chats, attending meetings, and asking the tutor for clarification if the group is unsure about expectations.
