Kitab means katab. Fial and fil maful means that which the action has been done to.

Maktub that which is rwritten. Kitab is referred to that which is written about a subject.

Hatha maktubun fit taharah is how it opens

And now taharah.

What does taharah mean? Nadhafah means cleanliness.

In the shara’ its used 2 places

1. Purification in fiqh - u already assumed that ur doing it. So shk uthaymeen said first is spritual purification - purification of the heart from worshipping other than allah. Purification from jealousy, envy, hate, excessive love, etc. If they exist they can reach a damaging kevel that loses themselves.
2. Innal mushrikun na najas. - tawbah - Those who take partners other than allah are najas. They are very unclean. Joke: Muslim stink more than the average person. Ive smelled mad muslim when praying with muslims etc. But its referred to their belief. Use of the colour “black” in the quran. Convenient colours to explain. Sealed from nur. Etc. Dhulumat dark./darkness. Opression is dark. Everything good is light. Divorce black and white from racial. In the text discuss the asl. And fara’. The roots and the trunk. The trunk is the purification that we all understand. Cleanliness. Muhammad al mukhtar ashanqiti said the cleanliness and removal from oneself and onesplace. Thats purification.

Cleanliness is not the same as purification. Something which is clean is not pure.
